The video of the panel “Law Enforcement and Internet Jurisdiction” that I moderated last January 23 during the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection 2015 Conference (CPDP 2015) in Brussels is now available in Youtube
The experts on this session discussed relevant aspects concerning Internet jurisdiction, legal and practical aspects related to mutual legal assistance mechanisms and some of the latest international cases dealing with cross-border access to data and evidence for criminal investigations and its intersection with data protection, including recent cases like the Belgium vs. Yahoo Inc. of 2007 and US vs. Microsoft of 2013 and of course, future challenges concerning the subject.
For those interested in this topic and especially for those who could not attend the conference in Brussels, I highly recommend watching it and its diffusion through social media.
